I always thought the whole Spear Pillar setup was awkward but my gosh they touched on everything I wanted to see in an adaptation. Heck, the Galatics are so awkward to start with Generations rough translations aren't so bad. One of my favorites.
Also whose bright idea was it to cast Sean Schemmel as Cyrus in the anime proper? That has baffled me for a decade now.
