Decidueye would offer nothing that the Pits don't offer already, and he doesn't have an expressive design like Incineroar does. Incineroar is a great Smash character even if he isn't the most viable, he's unique and has personality.

This is literally impossible. Any other Gen 7 pokemon they could have gone with has far more unique moveset potential than Incineroar and by default would be more fun. Incineroar isn't even unique.

A full quadruped fighter might's been cool but they'd probably give us midnight or something.
Incineroar is really ugly but it has more personality than midnight lycanroc. Tapu Koko might have some overlap with Pikachu but so do Villager and Isabelle, for example. Not to mention. Guardian of Alola as a final smash would've been satisfying as fuck.

It's a carbon copy of the PT I saw people suggesting last Smash Bros that would have included Greninja, Braixen and Chespin. It was dumb as fuck then and it's dumb as fuck now.

PT already fulfills the gimmick and the proposed PT you want offers absolutely nothing new to the roster. It's time consuming to make three brand new characters with the only payoff being 'maybe this will make fans of all 3 starters happy.'

It makes sense for Incineroar to be in Smash because he's a pro wrestler and shit.

I personally would have preferred Hariyama (Smash is about getting opponents off the ring, kinda like sumo wrestling), Machamp (as a grappler with several punches) or Scizor.

And? What's your point, how does it not make sense? Its has two of the most popular Pokemon in Japan and and offers the most unique moveset potential. You don't honestly think Incineroar or Decidueye should be the final evolution do you?

The hell are you talking about? Quadrapeds are rare on the roster and literally no one on the roster has a body type like Primarina. Not to mention Primarina's fairy typing and vocal attacks would be unique. It offers more than Incineroar.

Just because a character is quadruped doesn't mean it deserves to be in the roster. That's the dumbest shit. A quadruped by itself wouldn't even offer anything unique because its attacks would just be generic headbutts and scratches. Primarina's gimmick also wouldn't translate well into Smash Bros either. His bodytype honestly isn't too much of an issue since he can just ride water in order to walk/run like Squirtle. You're deluded if you think he offers more than Incineroar too.

Rowlet is a pretty poor choice too since he'd just end up being Jigglypuff with a projectile.

Primarina being an idol means it can actually do poses and dances, similar to what incineroar does with its taunts and poses. So Primarina would have a lot of character like Incineroar, unlike Decidueye who really wouldnt

Primarina’s body type IS an issue, there’s more to models and animation than just walking.
It’s not impossible but it isn’t easy either, that’s why we only have 2 non bipedal/humanoid characters in a roster of over 70.

ridley and k rool were obviously gaijin boomer picks, but incineroar obviously wasn't, yet you see people group them together as if it was the same people who wanted them; its obvious coattail riding. We know Incineroar's in because Sakurai wanted a wrestler, whereas its pretty clear Ridley's not a personal choice by Sakurai, or he'd have been in a previous game. Ridley is genuinely a character who got in because some fans requested him so much and Sakurai felt obligated to listen.

Primarina definitely had a lot of potential
The entire concept of planting mystical bubbles around the stage that can be bounced for extra mobility while also working as land mines or bombs that could detonate upon singing sounds fun and unique.
On the note of sound attacks it could have Disarming voice which would make opponents drop their throwable items and Sparkling Aria which would make the bubbles around the stage home-in on the opponent. Then you'd have a standard tail attack which could also interact the with the bubbles so they can be bashed at the opponents.

Incineroar is a terrible character from a casual perspective, there is a high learning curve to a fighter with weaknesses as exploitable as him. He's unique and so deserving of a roster spot, but he has no niche: too hard for use in casual, not distinctive enough for competitive.
The best heavy and mid weight fighters are those who can do out big, random damage in casual play but have hard to unlock combos. Think Donkey Kong in SSB4 with Ding Dong.
I think K Rool is the best designed of the new fighters though. He has gimmicks that are fun for casual, but a good competitive player will learn them and consistently beat the casual players. But then, there are secret combos for K Rool above what casual players are capable of, so it's like a bell curve of skill where most players will never see high tier play with K Rool.

Incineroar's entire game plan is fishing for Side B and has no real tools outside of that besides maybe nair. Lariat can't kill, he doesn't get anything off of his other aerials and it's extremely easy to deal with Revenge, combine this with being slow as sin and tell me how you wind up at mid tier.

He has several true combos off of his dtilt and down throw, one of which can start a juggle.
You underestimate the priority he has on a lot of his moves... Lariat has invincibility on startup and is a good edgeguarding tool, as is d-smash.
Side B can both kill and put your opponent in a guessing game type scenario if you play it right.
He does have a hard time with spammy projectile characters, but he is at least mid to upper mid tier. Revenge helps against projectile spam some.
