Another reason why we needed a Z version really badly. Yet for some reason, GF scrapped Z in favor of SM, which was a mind-blogging decision because that game, also, was clearly unfinished. Why do I even bother with this series anymore? Everything went to shit after BW2.

It's pretty sad, because conceptually it was the best elite 4. Literally had the best concepts for characters/typing, the only one that could top it would be Unova's if the ghost girl wasn't so forgettable, prove me wrong

There's only two memorable members of Unova's E4 and that's because one of them is from another game, and the other shows up in a future game.

Kalos has, at the very least, a solid design base for all it's E4 members and they're all interesting.

Malva was such wasted potential. I feel like they were going to do more with a 3rd Kalos game, but when that got scrapped she (and many other XY things) got left in the dust.

I mean, I guess if they make Gen VIII be tied with Kalos like they did with Johto and Kanto they might be able to fix it all. I just think trying to match a new gen with the anniversary kind of fucked everything. Everything's there in Kalos for a connection, at least.

Then again, this was the only reason I even remembered his existence. All four of them (and their literally who champion) were pretty forgettable. They're easily the prettiest elite four, though.

Yeah, it's a shame. I had my problems with XY, but I always felt like they were things that could've been improved on. Instead the entire region/games just feels like a rushed, incomplete abortion that serves as nothing more than a beta test for ORAS.
