The wings and antenna are very different, and the head is much rounder on the newer model.

The game that reused Stadium models are Coliseum, XD: Gale of Darkness, and Battle Revolution. Smash also used those models for things like trophies, balls, and stage hazards. Gen VI used all new models that have been recycled in various games since.
