Magmar is one of the few Gen 1 Pokemon that I never liked, it looks really ugly and unappealing. Magmortar is also ugly with its egg-shaped body and duck lips, but at least the cannon arms are nice.

Magmar head-up is ass and Magmortar as a whole is a joke. Palm blaster was a good concept but executed poorly.
Rhyperior looks shit too but its palm cannon is well done.

Magmar is an abomination. Magmortar's dumb egg body is the only bad part about it. It's dumb clown lips give it character and the cannon arms are cool

magmortar completely runs with the round egg theme and looks horrendous. it looks like a melted action figure. i don't even understand how it moves it arms. the cannons are kind of cool but god damn this is the only gen 4 evolution i dislike.

I don't like either of them. Magmar looks like a flamenco dancing drag queen with a Charmander tail and Magmortar looks like the creepy guy at the end of a public bus in sweatpants going "huh huh huh" with each breath.

Magby however is adorable. It deserves an alternate evolutionary path.

I still like this design but I'm glad Magmortar is something different than just elongated Magmar.
I can tell you flaws in Magmortar's design that could be corrected without having to redo the whole Pokemon, and come up with something perfectly acceptable.
