Mence, Tar, Meta and Chomp are easily a cut above the other psuedo legendaries in design and power.
My personal favorite is chomper but I love these 4 almost equally. What put Garchomp over the edge in my eyes was his competitive viability and the insane amount of viable sets for him.
In BW you can run sd with a life orb, resist berry or a gem. You can run mixed on a rain team with surf to hit Skarm. You can run LO mixed with Draco, Fire Blast and EQ. You can use Choice Scarf or Choice Band. In Gen 6 you can run all those sets(minus surf) or you can make him bulky with a rocky helmet or you can use his mega evolution and destroy defensive teams. You can even run sub bright powder with sand veil. There are so many options, so much so that i have built more teams with Garchomp than any other Pokèmon.
