Nice team so far. A bit too physical-oriented Imo. Maybe a bit more on the special side would be nice? Charizard or Typhlosion for the fire side and a magnezone or roserade for coverage

What's the point? Don''t you not get larvitar until super late in the game?

Also do a theme team or monotype run. I find going bug-only to be pretty fun. Johto also has a lot of good choices like heracross, scyther/scizor, pinsir, forretress, and so on. Butterfree with compound eyes and sleep/stun powders can be quite invaluable as well.

True, I have a weak spot for fighting types and physical attackers so I'll consider Typhlosion for special ATK. Arcanine would be good too but I've used him so much already

The safari is only in HGSS. Unless I'm mixing up the names of the bug catching area and the new area they added

OP here, I know it's pretty vanilla but I've never actually used Togekiss in Gold or HG so I decided it would do as a special ATK mon. As for the last spot I'm considering Xatu, Misdreavous and Arcanine based on y'alls suggestions. Probably won't go with Xatu just cause I don't want two flying types
