Just picked up a new ds and white 2
first time playing gen5, quit after hgss and came back for a bit during sm.

I have played every pokémon game, but when B2W2 came out I was not really into Pokémon for a while + I didnt have the money since I was like 13 and didnt have a job. So I picked it up recently just to add it to my list and shit. It was very enjoyable. Just like Let's Go Pikachu.

You should have played White 1 first. It's not better, but definitely makes white 2 story feel more complete.

It's entirely new game. BW2 take place like 2 years after the first games. Outside some region similarities, almost everything is different.

You have White 2, so getting White 1 makes more sense. Can't go into more details without spoilers, but it has something to do with the box legendaries.

If you get White 1, you'll be able to use the Memory Link from White 2's Unova Link feature from the game's start menu. I strongly recommend completing White 1 before using it though
