>1. Jacksonville Shooting - When I offered the match I did it in good fun with plans to go to Genesis 6 and have fun with it. I was happy to dive into the smash community and experience a big event to hang out with friends, make new friends, and really get involved in the smash community. The match would have been a stream worthy event and it would have been great overall. The Jacksonville shooting happened the day after the challenge, The video of seeing the laser sight on the guy milliseconds before he was murdered is haunting. The reality of it is that I am not safe at any event, this was further confirmed by the immense amount of negativity shown by Shofu's fans with quite a few threats coming from my challenge. It doesn't matter how much security is at any event, the Jacksonville shooting shows the dangerous reality of society right now. People are more extreme in their violence and hatred these days and school shootings/event shootings have become a weekly thing. The hate culture against me is something that Shofu has helped cultivate and there is no way I can go to any events.

Verlisify is (perhaps justifiably) hated by the overwhelming majority of the Pokémon community, and while I think 99% of people would do nothing other than boo him, there are crazy autistic people who decide to take internet rivalries and bring a knife to them.

Wouldn't this match be ridiculously one-sided anyway? I got the impression Shofu was a somewhat experienced tournament player, and Verlisify... isn't really very good at any games.
