>>37227971>>37227975The thing about YGO is that if you look at their banlist, it looks huge, but then you realize that what the banlist actually means is that literally every other card ever printed is usable. Compare that to Pokemon or MTG where anything that isn't in "Standard" is technically banned, even though you can use them in other less popular formats. That also kind of explains the powercreep, instead of just removing old cards and decks from play, Konami just has to print (theoretically) more powerful cards. Of course there are exceptions, Burning Abyss is still good years later, so if you bought that deck years ago you've got insane value, but that's the exception rather than the rule. At best a few generic cards that are just good in certain types of decks decks will remain good for a long time if not forever.
