>>37229688okay, so assuming Rival and Shaun lead with Mega Pidgeot and Gyarados, respectively, the battle would go something like this:
Pidgeot gets hit with Intimidate, and hits Gyarados with Air Slash, doing somewhere around 40% of Gyarados's health. Assuming no flinch and it hitting, Stone Edge does about 65% of Pidgeot's health. Assuming the next turn goes the same, Pidgeot goes down to Gyarados.
Rival sends in Jolteon, his best choice against Gyarados, outspeeds and knocks out Gyarados assuming Thunder hits. Shaun's best option is to send in Excadrill, who one-shots Jolteon with Drill Run after taking around 30% from a Shadow Ball.
Rival sends in Slowbro, who takes 30ish% from Drill Run, and kills with a Surf. With Excadrill down, Shaun sends out Druddigon. Assuming Blizzard doesn't miss, Druddigon barely wins the 1v1 with Slowbro after the damage from Excadrill. Left with around 28% HP on average, Druddigon gets outsped and loses to Vileplume's Dazzling Gleam.
Crobat comes in from Shaun's side, and knocks out the Vileplume in 3 hits, taking 75% damage from 3 Sludge Bombs (again, assuming no crits or flinches).
Marowak comes in, and knocks out Crobat with Thunder Punch (Air Slash doing 25%).
Shaun sends in Snorlax, who 2HKOs the weakened Marowak with Body Slam, leaving only Rapidash, who goes down to Gigalith even if Snorlax goes down. Shaun wins, despite a level gap and a lack of Mega Evolution.
This is all assuming no crits and hits always doing an average amount of damage.
TL;DR: Shaun wins.
