Better than weather wars and terrain bullshit. Gen 6 was only good when Aegislash was legal. Centralized meta is always preferable to matchup based meta.

At least with weather wars there was a CHANCE that theyd use something besides drizzle politoed. But gen4 was literally always just stacking a bunch of outrage spammers with magnezone to check skarm/forry/scizor.

I personally think gen 2 is best, and the reason is because it had the least hax and the most strategy, battles take a lot longer and require planning ahead, the meta is very defense heavy though.

as far as i remember a fair amount of more obscure mons like spiritomb and dusknoir became pretty common, for antispinning especially.
