People hate it because it's a poor design. What's with that unreadable pink and blue shit? What's with those fucking head bulb things? Why is it mono Poison and not Poison/Steel? Defenders draw comparison to Muk because it's equally uninspired in concept and is from kantoooo but if you compare them it's obvious which one has the better design.

You can have ambiguous garbage without being ugly pastel blobs, that makes no sense.

Sure, but it looks awful

The piping material that seems to make up its skeleton, the fact that the nonsensical pink trash has pic related (a steel type) as a precedent, and that it would make it more mechanically unique and thus less of a straight up Muk retrain.

Yeah Garbodor.
Muk doesn't really display its concept in its design beyond being a slime which in an rpg doesn't necessarily mean it's toxic or waste material especially since the usual color for toxic materials was and still is green. Even its alolan cousin got that right by making it green with the additional rainbow colors seen when oil rests on water.

Garbodor on the other hand is clearly made up of an assortment of trash, decomposing waste, worn pipes and so on comping from a torn trash bag which also uses the green color.

I hope you aren't trying to say Wormadam it's a good example of that. Because it doesn't show any trash elements at all, it just turns pink.

Am I being trolled? Are we not looking at the same images? You can't fucking pretend the pink and blue aren't noticeable. They may be proportionally smaller than the other colors but it still throws the color palette as a whole out of whack, making the design both uglier and less believable.

Pic related, those two points are entirely your opinion. Being ugly is what a garbage monster should be. Also those pipes don't just turn it into a steel type. Otherwise, pokemon like blastoise should of been steel types.
