On paper it looks like UUBL, it's both very tanky and very hard-hitting. Even Terrakion can't one-shot it unboosted if Stealth Rocks are clear.

On the other hand, it might just be UU; Its bulk is impressive, but it's slow with a bad defensive typing. In theory you can take a hit from anything and KO, but getting it in cleanly is another story. For example, it can 1v1 Scizor or Scarf Krookodile from full health, but if you switch into Scizor while rocks are up and it clicks U-turn, suddenly you're at ~30% health and might die to unboosted Pursuit.

I also don't think Cosmic Power or Stored Power really help it, you'd much rather have the coverage and instant power. Calm Mind or Celebrate would be another story, but Zen's typing isn't good enough to justify purely defensive boosting and such a set just dies to hazards and Toxic vs the slower teams that would let you get those boosts.

Four extremely common weaknesses, slow with a SR weakness, not immune to Toxic. If you're running 2 STABs + Cosmic Power + Recover, you have no way to cure status. If you're running RestTalk + Stored Power, you have no offensive pressure and get hardwalled by Dark-types. If you're running RestTalk + Fire STAB, what's the point of Cosmic Power? Notice that all of these sets are weak to hazards + VoltTurn.

Compare anything Zen could run with Reuniclus, or Clefable, or Suicune, or Latias.

Now Calm Mind or Z-Celebrate would be a different story, since that kind of set could break a slower team before it gets worn down. OP didn't say Calm Mind or Celebrate though, just Cosmic Power. Cosmic Power just doesn't cut it here.

Too much a of pain tbqhfamalamadingdong, just make it so it automatically changes into Zen Mode if it knows a Psychic type move, also it now gets a bunch of Psychic type moves

Its Pokedex entry explicitly refers to it transforming when weakened.

But besides that, it has good stats, a relatively unique typing and a good movepool (already)

Its Speed is way too slow normally, way to fast for trick room, and since Zen Mode is an ability, regular Darm will do a lot more damage.
If Zen mode Darm had a better typing, it could be better.

Nah mate, the cutoff for Trickroom is Base 80. Everything below that can be used on TR in terms of speed. Stuff over Base 80 may use it as well to meme on faster checks and counters, but they usually need a pretty good reason to be used on TR.

Read nigga. The idea is that Zen Mode no longer is reliant on that half HP shit to activate. It just does like Trace and Imposter

Giving it Cosmic Power doesn't really help it all since to my knowledge, Darmanitan gets Calm Mind and that is in every way superior to Cosmic Power, but yes the change to ability would be greatly appreciated, Energy Ball would help too, pretty sure it gets access to Focus Blast as well.
