Why are villain arcs in pokemon so shitty?
>Gen 1 had sylph co, a poorly-made teleporter maze (it's not hard, it's tedious)
>Gen 2's lair greeted you with at least 6 unavoidable trainer battles that don't even give good EXP, they just waste your time
>Gen 3 was a slightly less shitty teleporter mess but ORAS ruined it with endless cutscenes
>Gen 4's villain base required yet more backtracking and a forced trek through Crouching Bibarel: Hidden Move mountain
>I never finished gen 5 because there was literally no good qualities to compel me to continue to play after the electric chick, villain motives were just "what if bad guys pretend good?!?! ooOOOOH!"; also spawned the most obnoxious villain fans (Here's looking at you, Nfags)
>Gen 6's team flare was only memorable for the almost hilariously bad costumes trying to force lore into the series
>Team skull in gen 7 continued the trend of comically bad while aether foundation was obvious the entire time
The best teams are the ones you don't have to deal with every five seconds and the ones that don't interrupt the natural flow of the game. Why are these villain teams so shit?
