The story
which has become flimsy at best anyway is further ruined because it's designed around one of two generic filler legendaries that can be swapped out without affecting anything. If it didn't have to work for both options the end result would be a lot more satisfying and if they insist on making two different versions they could include some more substantial differences in them.
