Honestly, this board has too many bitter people and idiotic children. LGPE sucked, so there's some reason for bitterness. The constant gen wars on this board also draw out these types of people and drives others away. Meanwhile even down to the smallest microinteractions, so often it seems people here are very quick to rage and insult, which I can only attribute to these underagers and bitter people. If you're one of them you might be thinking, "THIS IS 4CHAN YOU FUCKING RETARD AHHAAH", but even that has more substance than the kind of thing they usually say. They don't talk to others properly. Rather than actually discuss, give the benefit of the doubt, or yes, engage in some relevant bants, these people more often screech at others without even explaining themselves.
Other boards aren't like this either, not to say they are always on topic or perfectly civil (which is fine), but they don't have this sense of underlying bitterness or overwhelmingly childish behaviour. Even /v/ of all places is better. You'd think as a general rule, "slower board = better discussion," but /vp/ seems to be the exception.
I know you might be thinking: this guy must've been personally insulted by someone or whatever. Not really. I just see so many replies you give to each other. Often I see a particularly awful thread and it makes me think "why bother talking to anyone in here?" and so I go to another one.
I don't think this board is beyond saving or dead, when something new comes out, I think life will come back. Especially if that new thing is actually good.
