The story for all the games is inconsistent, but that makes this one neither worse or better, since it's still inconsistent. Functionally, it is operating with many of the same elements that the game has always had, and they have mostly always done what they were supposed to do, and what glitches were present were ironed out. The mechanic that they've altered is somewhat unresponsive, but not enough to make the game unplayable, so I can't really say it's gotten worse. Maybe marginally, but not enough to say it's bad, there are worse things out there.
