wasted quads, but it generally just makes the early game drag on more than it should. I'm all for six Pokemon teams but at least save it for battles that are meant to be hard or when by the time most players have their team. Generally in Drayano’s hacks the gym leaders all have 6 Pokémon, and some trainers have more. The only thing that bothers me when I play them are the first few gym leaders being difficult as hell with all the Pokémon changes, you essentially have a strong team of 6 to face with your 2 whole Pokémon that aren’t even overleveled most likely.

There's a balance to strike with creating more Pokemon diversity and not giving the player a team of 6 with full type coverage by the first gym. IMHO controlling type diversity and naturally scaling it up over the game is the most common weakness of fangames. Though I will say it's preferable to the alternative of only Normal+Bug+Flying until after the first gym.

What are anons planned teams? I just started but my plan is: Torterra, Raichu, Froslass, and Seviper. Not sure what other two I'll get, though I'm having trouble because the game freezes right before the barry fight. It doesn't really freeze but the fight never starts.

Because they're more fulfilling than most Full Dex ROMhacks.

We either have people like Dio Viento who go full tourneyfag and force you to EV train, or we get others that go full retard and add a bunch of unnecessary changes to pokemon typings. Drayano most hits a happy medium where you get some changes so that most shitmons aren't shitmons anymore, but not overbearing that they become blatantly overpowered.

There is no reason why this isn't a thing in the series already, I'm fairly sure that unique trainers in battle facilities work off a pool of mons that they pull from at random, that's the only way this could be even better.

I just completely butt fucked Roark with my Grotle and Vaporeon, I didn't even need Vaporeon. Yes he has full 6 team with items but the game gives you the resources to over come. It throws two double battles at you before Oreburgh city, which both trainers have a fair amount of Pokemon and they're mostly new Pokemon too so you get the "New Pokemon bonus EXP" or whatever you want to call it. Not only that but you can find the Expert Belt earlier which means if you have a Water or Grass type they'll be doing even more damage. And finally once you meet Roark he gives you a stone of your choice, which allows you to at least go for Leafeon or Vaporeon if you didn't pick either Turtwig or Piplup. I have yet to run into any real difficulty with anything.

This is the first ROM hack I've played and I'm enjoying it. The new Dex is great and it's nice to see the other changes he made to Pokemon. Including buffing total shit mons to make them usable or simply alterting some movesets. https://pastebin.com/u/RenegadePlatinum

He edited the level up movepools so of course they will have new moves; eitherway its nothing new. In Platinum Cyrus' Sneasel knows Ice Punch, a move it can only learn via breeding or tutors.

Roark wasn't too bad. Fucking Mars is giving me the business, though. In fairness, I've been working with Riolu, Grotle, and Prinplup so far, so my anti-Poison coverage is basically nil. But getting a crit+Toxic Poison Fang on first turn, and having that fatfuck cat STILL outspeed my +1 Speed Riolu is aggravating. She was always a cunt in DPP, and it's no better here. Time to grind my Beldum.

i just beat Mars, I admit I blacked out to her but only because of fucking Yanma getting two Silver Wind boosts in a row, and my Vaporeon getting struck by every Hypnosis from Purugly and confusion that didn't go away from the Bronzor earlier. It actually pissed me off to the point where I looked it up to see if he had buffed Hypnosis' hit chance. pic related is my team right now, I'm not going to lie, picking Turtwig fucking sucks against everything that isn't Roark. Every fucking Galatic Grunt has nothing but Poison types and Barry gets Starly and Chimchar who Turtwig can do fuck all to. So far I've been mostly relying on Vaporeon, can't wait until I get to actually catch the other Pokemon I want.

Yeah, that's been my experience as well. Gonna run in circles with Riolu and a Soothe Bell and catch Beldum up to the party just for this one battle. Funny, only one of them I'm even using for my final party is Riolu. I'm hyped to use Mismagius for the first time, since he typed her Ghost/Fairy.

It's not really a difficult battle so long as the AI decides it wants to attack and not spam confuse ray and hypnosis when I tried a second time Purugly just kept using Facade and it was simple as kill it before it kills you. So far I haven't faced anything that I consider actually difficult, aside from Barry. Good luck against her though. I'm surprised to see those mons so early maybe I should look in the grass but I'm already planning on getting Raichu, Froslass, Seviper, and either Altaria or Skarmory for the last few Pokemon.

No. Zeromus removed every piece of wifi-related code from Desmume because back then, the WFC was still up and running and he didn't want to get in troubles with Nintendo.

The reason is that GF is (1) lazy and (2) believe that Pokémon should be as easy as humanly possible because otherwise the smartphone kids will lose interest. Otherwise Challenge Mode wouldn't be limited to just BW2 (and it wouldn't be limited to a new game for that matter).

Is it just me or are Drayano's hacks more poorly designed than the base games? The bloated dex inverts game design, overpowered pokemon are easily available (partly because pokemon distribution is so messy), and really is only worth playing if you absolutely refuse to use a game's regional dex to make your team
