If he is saying he knows anything, then either he has another source I'm unaware of, or he's lying. Given the nature of the information I know him to have access to, he cannot know for certain what the hidden poke is, and he would have to to know it's a new pokemon. He would have to have another source, but that, I'm not sure if anyone can truly verify.
