>>37268595>what fucking purpose does the starfish on primarina serveAesthetically the stars are cohesive with both Primarina's mermaid theme and its musical/idol theme since they form an headset around its head with the other ornaments.
Functionally they probably work like natural earmuffs that shield their own ears. It would make sense when you think that the species' primary methods of attacking is using sound based moves. Maybe they could protect from (underwater) pressure as well
>is it flesh,a parasite, just something that if found? It probably just grows on them, like the tail spikes. They are the same color afterall.
>if someone saw rolwet and dartrix without context they would assume it would be some classy owl not some fucking archer with the shitty "feather fingers"It fits the story of Robin Hood starting as a rich spoiled kid that eventually becomes a hero. If you knew what a final evolution would look like by just glancing at the first stage, there would be no sense of surprise or progression. I feel like this is especially important for a starter
What's wrong with feather fingers? They are necessary for the design to work and be animated properly and they have been a thing before Decidueye for anthropomorphic and cartoon birds that have to perform human actions.
>poor incineroar's wrist seem like they are going to snap, sausage fingers, its kegs look weak and even the artist know it almost all incineroar fanart is off modelThat's just something that can be said about so many Pokemon though
I don't exactly disagree, I just think it could be said about all of the Alola starters just like it could be said about all three of the Kanto starters (Venusaur's hind legs traumatizing the world, Charizard's belly and somewhat stick arms being redesigned in official and fan art, Blastoise's Pokken redesign and its other iterations etc.). Why is it only a problem with Incineroar? Besides, long fingers and top-heavy design make sense for a wrestling and grappling
