Is there even a single pokemon in gen 4 that can beat gen 4 Garchomp? And I'm not talking just Scarfchomp, I'm talking a hexaperfect Garchomp with sand veil, sandstorm and a full set of hazards up, holding all of Brightpowder/Scarf/Leftovers/Band/Sash/Lum/Yache/Haban, with a +6 boost to all stats, a Substitute, 252 in every stat, a +everything, -nothing nature, and access to his whole movepool, plus Dragon Dance and Slack off.

that said what would be a good inspiration for it? Bit of a shame we already have a meganeura based 'mon because that would have been a rather obvious pick

for a bug type pseudo you could always go the route of the Mongolian death worm and inspirations (Dune) with the pre-evos being various worms. Would even be a good way to catch folks of guard by having it start as a cute earthworm inspired bug that evolves early into a more serious but still cute large worm-inspired second stage
