They took half a dozen years to make a Game Boy game and he wants to fucking pump out near and now actual HD games in a fucking year?

That's not happening and he admitted in an interview to being the one driving it during the lead up to OR/AS. To be "modern" because apparently he looks at studios like fucking Take Two with their shitty yearly sports games as the pinnacle of game designers.

The series needs to go the way of things like 3D MArio and the console TLoZ games - they need to be released when content complete and not before even if that take 5+ years. Which, knowing Game Freak, that is precisely what it needs.

I have no idea why people suck Masuda and his shitty games off when all of the good Pokémon games were the ones he didn’t direct.

They grew complacent and were rewarded for their lack of expertise or willingness to put in effort when a competitor (reasonably) failed to appear and actually threaten the franchise globally, and that'll never happen anyway thanks to Pokemania.
Even if Masuda retired after BW and left someone like Morimoto to handle the games, they'd still be flawed to various degrees and be chock full of programming goofs that could be potentially fatal, like the Lumiose City bug that fucked up saves.

gen 3 is by far the best time of pokemon ever, it has the best games, console and GBA and competitive became finally more than a joke like gen1-2.
Emerald is still by far the best main game, colosseum and xd are the best spin offs and even pokemon box was great.
honestly vp is retarded in general, all pokemon games where okay at worst and great at best, besides gen7. gen7 is trash and we all know the reasons why.

Theres probably something going on internally that we don't know about, but Masuda coming from a musical background probably doesn't help either considering where people want the series to go. I personally have no problem with where the games are right now and think people are just looking at older games through rose-tinted lenses and nostalgia, Fuck LGPE though, keep that shit away from the core experience and I'm good

Masuda's problem is that he's just never had any creative vision for Pokemon. All he can really do is keep making updated versions of the first two games with new Pokemon and towns. For all the shit Ohmori gets, you can tell that gen 7 were some of the most ambitious games in the series even if they were on too strict of a deadline to really get the most out of it.

What's the evidence of this? All the recent titles have all had extremely consistent sales. 15-17 million for the new mainline titles and then 8 million for the update/rehash title(s).The only time sales were higher was back in Gen 1-2 (tailing off in Gen 3) when PokeMania was still happening.

The way I see it, the kanto pandering simply stems from GF having a lack of creativity. Sort of like all those shitty NSMB/3Dworld/3Dland games that all do nothing but rehash SMB1 over and over again with each one having another tired recreation of 1-1.

Kanto generates buzz among non core casual fans, the kind that watched the anime in middle school back in 1999 and maybe played Red on the GB that Christmas before dropping the franchise, but that doesn't necessarily means they will buy your second gen 1 remake. Nostalgia is powerful but not a sure way to get sales.
