For LG!PE, is there a way to play it with both the left and right switch controllers when they are plugged into the controller adaptor?

I can play it with them them both simulatenously when they are plugged into the switch itself, but if I want to play it on the TV and have to use the controller adaptor, it only lets me use one or the other. I like using the left for moving and right for buttons.

Anyone know how to achieve this?
