Without adding any new pokemon (maybe a few Eeveelutions to finish them off, and some new megas or other new forms), but increasing the maps themselves, getting lore straight, and rebalancing the 'mons.. Why the fuck does Pallet Town still only have two houses 20 years later? They could even take the opportunity to undo the retarded evolution styles, and reintegrate the features they've ditched over the years. Give the player the opportunity to port their character over to a new region
and eventually unlock their old pokemon for single player use. Make stuff mean something, give Blue something to say when you challenge him (as a freshly minted gym leader) with Mewtwo in your party. Have Red go back to being the champion after beating him at Mt. Silver for your E4 rematches. Have the PC actually have challengers after becoming champ. And now I'm just ranting and forgot what it was I was originally trying to say.
