Magneton's too. Why run both discharge and thunder wave, and why have both magnet bomb and mirror shot when both are inferior to flash cannon. Gengar and Feraligatr are at least salvageable, but Dark Pulse isn't really necessary with Shadow Ball and could be replaced by T-bolt, and Alakazam could run more coverage moves just to fuck with stuff more.

It's good ORAS changed their teams up, it's bad enough that any member of the Elite Four has two of the same species in their party, but to do so twice is boring.

Cynthia also has Roserade in DP.

Lucario is another common NPC mon; in DPPt alone Maylene, Riley and Cynthia all use one, as do Korrina in XY and Gladion in SM/USUM.

In-game rivals and competitive players are two very different things, Dumbass. As far as in-game teams go this isn't bad. Besides that rivals always use their fucking starter and cover the fire/water/grass trio. What other fire type could he have in a region where there are a total of 2 fire lines, one of them being the starter?

This isn't anything like online battles, this is an in-game team. It's challenging enough, given that they have to keep new players in mind. If you want to play against competitive teams, that's what online battles are for. Besides Poison Jab on Roserade, this is a great in-game team.

Magnemite's line is pretty common as well.

Rival in Yellow (if no Jolteon), Wally, Molayne, Silver, Surge in GSC and HGSS, Jasmine, Clemont, Sophocles, and Wattson. Guess it's because we barely have any Electric mons though.

I based these teams off of the Stadium games somewhat. Almost every wildcard pokemon on those were used by the Leaders on their Pokemon Stadium teams.
