Have you ever seen how bloated their games are data wise? They really are terribly inefficient. Also their themes are great. Alola would have been fine it it wasn't so empty.

That's the problem with the jump to 3D. They just don't have enough room for all their ideas anymore. Even though so many other games prove they can, and why? Because they're so bad at programing.

They did say that they choose the themes before they start any project.

I'll say most themes post gen 4 are bad so..........5-7. I like gen 5 though

I guess this is a matter of taste. I liked most of the designs, especially the Pokemon. Now using the laid back atmosphere to cripple most of them stats wise? Not so much. It was Gen 5 all over again.

Agreed. I went full autismo and played through the game by going to real life areas that looked like the locations in game, even waiting for the seasons to line up. Was super comfy.

Agreed, while graphically it's not as good. The scenery, the trainers, the general feel of it was so much better.
The SM trainer has a lifeless stare, and walks like they just shit there pants. The outfits are between, shorts, slightly longer shorts and Shorts with undershorts. And 2 types of top. Where as XY has tons of outfits.
