This neverending pokemon marathon on Twitch is making me realize how much of a non entity Gary was in the anime. Yeah he kicked Ash's teeth in at every chance, but so does nearly every trainer Ash meets. So why does everyone act like he was this absolute motherfucker of a unit? Was it Mandela effect?
