>>37284097Team Rocket is just the mob, doing "legitimate business" and running "legitimate businesses" like the mob does.
Team Aqua and Magma are ecoterrorists who genuinely believe what they're doing is for the good of Pokémon and that humans will simply adapt to their new worlds; once they realize that their plans will instead usher in mass extinction for both humans and Pokémon, including the ones they claim to care for, they turn over a new leaf.
Team Galactic is a cult made up of misfits who think their boss's "use the legendary Pokémon to remake the universe in my image, without emotion," plan is an abstract or metaphorical goal rather than the literal goal of destroying the universe, killing everyone in the process. As with other cults, only at the end is it revealed that the leader never cared for his subordinates and only used them for achieve his goal for himself.
Plasma is another cult made up of hypocrites who claim to want to free Pokémon from abusive humans, while their own members have no qualms about being even more abusive. This doesn't even go into their true leader whose stated plan was for everyone, except for him, to be without Pokémon, pushing through guilt-tripping, Musharna-brainwashing, and finally social pressure, so that he could then rule as an unopposed authoritarian ruler. If anything, Ghetsis fits the Stalin role pretty well, so they're arguably the closest to Communists right now.
Team Flare is another genocidal team, or really more of a social club, that unironically gives off more National Socialist vibes than Communist. There are some similarities, in that both have that "everyone is equal; but some are more equal than others" mentality, both engage in dark science behind the scenes, both aim to stamp out the undesirables that plague the world, etc. So, I'll just dodge their question and say Flare is just ambiguous genocidal totalitarian social club who is ambiguously both left and right, Nazi and Commie, etc.
