Fucking hell, I just wanted to make a joke rain team with shit like moltres, quillfish and heliosk and see people's reaction when I win. I swear like 90% of pokemon's fanbase is autistic.

You're only just realizing this? I came to that conclusion when I was like 14 years old playing gen 3 netbattle back in the day.

I did that once but went in a different direction in gen 5: monopoison rain. I did modestly well in the ladder and gained a good amount of orbiters. Overall an interesting but strange experience.

Playing on phone has the advantage you physically can't see the chat unless ypu want to. Unmuting the chat in computer leads to cancer 8 out of every 10 battles.

I miss infinite weather. Yeah it got pretty cancerous in Gen 5 with politoed weather wars and all that, but nerfing it also nerfed a ton of stuff that wasn't OP at all, like hail teams.

in Gen 3, you would've seen a lot more stuff like sub/endure+reversal/flail+salac sets since they wouldn't have been cucked by sand. These sorts of sets were common back then in UU precisely because there was no ttar to fuck them up.

I'm inclined to agree with you, quads.

My only real fear is that, in the timeline where we kept infinite weather, terrains are also infinite. I can handle infinite hail a-ninetales but I feel infinite terrain tapus would give the meta PTSD.

Maybe the weather could be infinite as long as the setter remains in the field, then just last 5 turns the moment they switch out. Kinda like a mix between the weather we have now and primal weather.

Moltres was actually used a lot as an Anti-Rain option and even used on Rain teams during Gen 5 simply because it had Hurricanes that hit hard.

Honestly, it should work like how Primal does. But not as good as what you said. All they have to do is have it auto-trigger whenever there is no weather on the field whenever they start their turn.
