>>37303509>Zygarde was ranked A+ in the VR thread, wherein a whole 3 pokemon were ranked S.To be fair on that point, Zygarde was nominated for S many, many, MANY times, and it's bizarre that Ash Gren and Heatran were S but not Zygarde
>>37303508>Meh, Megagross is the only one of those that would stand a reasonable chance of coming back to OU. Even then, if you're running terrain support it's just insanely oppressive offensively. Still, I suppose they could have tried dropping something; after all, they went like a year without any tests. That is true. Personally I'm in the camp of "tis suspect was unecessary" but if they wanted to shake things up, I think bringing something down would've been better. I still think the best solution would be an experimental ladder that changes shit each month, like say taking out one pokemon or bringing down another pokemon or banning rocks or whatever. Just a ladder to see how the metagame changes under different circumstances
>>37303502Deo-D I think would find too good of a place on offense like it did in Gen 6, hazard stacking on nearly everything for free. Aegi is something I think could've worked
Reshiram and Dawn Wings I think are just too strong for OU, and I mean "just" in every way possible. They just have enough power and coverage and bulk to be an absolute fucking nightmare.
That' the tricky thing about the D-rank Ubers: they're just shitty enough to not be good in Ubers, but just strong enough to be too much for OU. A lot of tiers have that problem, just look at BL or hell, even PUBL where it's just "Too shitty for the tier above, way too strong for what's below it"
