I honestly like the idea of an alternate series that reboots the world with the focus of building and expanding the lore we've seen over the years. Instead we got LGPE. We could have a had more synergy with Johto, we could have gotten expanded lore on the birds, Giovanni's plan and relationship with Silver. We could have had a game that explores Kanto after the events of GSC, or a game set on the past with Oak as the protagonist. We could have had a game set in the present woth Lillie running around Kanto and seeing what changes have happened in Kanto over the course of 20 years.
