The first one is actually pretty fun (albeit mindless) to complete if buy retail version (or just hack 3k diamonds on your digital version). The leveling system is just satisfying - you get stronger Pokemon, more facilities and unlock new shit to put on your Mii.
The original one can be played on TV, on a better controller and with 3 other people. That alone puts it above Blast. The difficulty is also really well balanced in this one.
The last one felt like they added pointless shit which didn't really do much to enhance the gameplay. The story was not only typical it was also bare-bones and nonsensical. 2 new battle modes didn't offer much (one is almost identical to standard play and the other is "mash A to win"). World map looks pleasant, however it's still just the select screen (and slower one at that).
