There's an NPC who says it's frigid air leaking out of the gym.

I still can't believe Kalos already has a naturally icy city complete with the obligatory lategame ice dungeon, and yet they still decided to frost over a completely unrelated town just so Ice could be the final badge type. Just one of several perplexing world design choices of Kalos that diminish its cohesion and makes the box-checking nature of its design that much more apparent.

If your initial summary is accurate, the battle lasted 3 turns and you waited until the last to use your SE move? You were unlucky but you still made really bad decisions.

That said if you went first the first two turns and were outsped on the last, it means you were definitely speedtied and your luck isnt as bad as you think. You were just baddy bad lol.

Bad decisions yes but if it weren’t for the two crits I would win, usually the AI in the first battle jobs by spamming leer or growl or tail whip after a tackle or two.
