Yeah this is the one for me. It just dragged on, first pokemon game I didn't finish. Now with each early gen replay it stops being fun usually somewhere between the first and third gym.

sun and moon. i literally didn't even bother playing ultrasun even though i bought it. absolutely no fucking reason to play through literally the same game twice.

i'd much rather occupy my time with glitch runs of red/blue or trying to get a living dex in gen 3 with glitches and ebay purchases to get the unobtainable legendaries.

hey man, how else are you gonna get celebi and jirachi on gen 3? only way to get them are from the pokemon colosseum bonus discs for both japanese and english.

yes. that means i had to 100% japanese colosseum just to get celebi. already owned a gba and gcn link cable, just needed to purchase jap ruby, jap colosseum, jap celebi disk and region unlocker disc

and if you think THAT is overly complicated, just wait until you hear how i'm trying to get deoxys and mew

italian pokemon emerald and glitzer popping to activate the event flags so i can take the ferry to the event islands

Gen 6 for me. For a lot of reasons, the last two gens fail to deliver a feeling of adventure like the old games. Although I still finished every game and enjoyed some aspects of each. I'm not optimistic about the future of the series.

ORAS/SM. Gen 5 is the beginning of the end, but they were fresh at the very least, and did some things very well. Gen 6 didn't have anything going for it, but was still just barely acceptable.
