People give xy shit, but it was the most hyped up game in the franchise.

No game ever had me running back and forth between all the Pokemon sites to find new info like X and Y.

Yeah no, this format is retarded. If you want to make a pokémon direct you should use it to promote more pokémon related things.
Add some news on spin-offs (for mobile, console or whatever) some on events like concerts, competitions and stuff like that, and have the mainline game as the big news.
That would justify spending 10 or more minutes of someone's life.
