I don't set any game in any language other than English, so I don't really know. Sorry, anon.
You can just try it if you have a code. At worst, it will tell you it can't be redeemed and use up the code anyways.

There is no such thing as "English game", all Pokemon games are region free nowadays. A Sun cart bought in Japan is exactly the same as a cart bought in the US.
