It's probably a 20-30 minute direct and half of it is Pokemon related. That being said, I doubt that they could realistically spend that much time on Pokemon of all things. Their announcements are always basically a 3 minute commercial and they have to leave enough time for Smash content like Piranha Plant's release/Joker gameplay/next DLC reveal
Anyway, Verg is probably shooting in the dark since a January direct is super likely and anyone can guess the contents, knowing the games already announced for 2019.

Last DLC announced for pokkén was last year's january nintendo direct mini.
We haven't heard of a mistery dungeon since super in 2016.
Bank for LGPE is -in my opinion- a big possibility since masuda, when asked in 2018, always smirked and said "I can't talk about it yet".

I don't know, I think this year's direct may be big

Said it before, there's no point in them putting Bank on Switch yet, given you can't move your entire collection forward to the newest game. It'll launch when Gen VIII does (hopefully after release, rather than on release) and when it does, will drop a compatibility patch (or a PokéTransfer app again either, it IS Game Freak we're talking about) for LGEP.
