maybe make it so that postgame eggs hatch immediately and the ones you get during normal gameplay or from an NPC during the sotry require walking so there's still the tamagochi feeling, especially if you don't know what it's gonna be

The whole system needs to be reworked. Replace it with a minigame that lets you select nature, ability, egg moves, and IVs.

I think the RNG we have right now is completely fine if you're not going for shinies or specific hidden powers. The big problem is the time it takes to breed even 5 Pokémon. With the current system I think breeding would take around half an hour tops if you wanted a complex mon, five minutes tops if you just wanted a typical Garchomp without eggmoves.
I think hidden powers should be switchable though, maybe with some sort of monk that helps the Pokémon control their inner power or something.

I think the system needs an overhaul. Hatching eggs already happens pretty fast just make us not have to walk. What they need to do is let us change IVs, Nature, etc before hatching. Or even after. I don’t know. Just fix that shit.

I'd like the idea of a timer instead of having to walk. And obviously things like Flame Body cut down the time significantly.
Have an option to check the summary of the hatched mon and also an option to cull it right then and there instead of sending it to the PC.
