It could have been cool but yeah it does seem like they spent far more time figuring out the tyrannosaur designs and drew this one last minute on a napkin. I drew a fakemon that looked pretty much exactly like it when I was a retarded 12 year old.

As someone who dropped out of the games in gen 4 it's hard to believe this critter is an actual Pokemon. From the design alone Im not joking or exaggerating when I say I would sooner believe it to be part of the MLP franchise.

To be fair it's evolution actually looks more dino like rather then the mlp pre evol. Still think they could of done a lot cooler stuff with the sail and aurora borealis going on.

More specifically, keldeo was designed before the release of the fourth generation of My Little Pony designs, which it is often accused of mimicking due to its sudden surge of popularity around the time Keldeo was officially unveiled. Keldeo was present in game code with its current design prior to the launch of G4 pony designs, but acknowledged by gamefreak roughly concurrently, leading many to believe it was 'added' to gen 5 late into its life cycle, as a response to the sudden uptick of MLP-based buzz.

Got overshadowed by the "epic Dragon t-rex". I feel like Tyrantrum is kind of underwhelming when we have things like Tyranitar and Aggron already.

Aurorus tends to be surprisingly good ingame though, and I really like it's design.
