Only dropped Gen 7 so soon because of lack of a good online hub. If Gen 8 also has a terrible one, then yeah it's getting dropped. If it's even somewhat decent tho, I'm not dropping it

Incorrect. Gen 6 wasn't a visual novel, and introduced MANY new features and mechanic changes. That alone makes it much better. Sun and Moon added some new stuff too, but removed a lot of the good stuff that XY added like PSS and super training(super training wasn't the best way, but I'd much rather use that than fucking SOS battles) and megas.

I really can't see Gen 7 being better unless Gen 8 just becomes a full VN. I tried playing S/M US/UM but honestly I just kept tapping out and going back to older games, including Gen 6. If I want a VN I might as well go read a book instead.

I'd rather my friends interrupt me every route and then actually get to explore them after instead of sitting through 100 cut scenes only to have 200 road blocks. Especially when it was at the trainee school. I should've been able to walk back to the first route, but nope sorry I can't do that. At least when my rivals stopped me, I also got to battle someone and train my Pokemon

And no, Sun and Moon weren't harder, USM might've been, but UN isn't that hard of a Pokemon to beat
