>>37340160>>37340204I'd be fine with that. Give us about 50 regional variants/Delta formes, 20 cross-gen evos,
and 10 cross-gen babies of stronger unevolving Pokemon like Absol and Heracross. Oh, and hopefully try to distribute evenly across the series history instead of it being 80% Kanto.
The only thing I would absolutely not budge on though, is that we definitely need a new starter trio. Personally that's one of my favorite aspects of the series, even if the designs turn out mediocre sometimes, and I'd hate to see it take a back seat to "here's Bulbasaur Charmander and Squirtle again".
>>37347867This. There's a reason why the Colosseum series is so fondly looked back upon, and why people want a third game in that series. Even though they didn't add any new Pokemon, they created a fresh new world that flipped everything we thought Pokemon was at the time on its head, introduced plenty of interesting characters that gave life to the world, and recontextualized a lot of existing Pokemon (Ludicolo will always be associated with Miror B. and his Retro Groove in my heart, no matter what). Other spinoffs do this kind of thing too, like the Mystery Dungeon series and Pokemon Conquest, just to name a few. What we need right now isn't for GameFreak to shove more new designs down our throats than we can even count, we need them to flesh out what already exists and give new purposes and spotlights to the creatures that have been dumped and forgotten about once the passing trend was over.
