Turn-based RPGs aren't hard by the nature of their grindy and RNG reliant mechanics. Whatever difficulty using Shitkorita in GSC/HGSS is, is just extra tedium.
Also Jumpluff is worse so you should try that for Hard Mode, if we're really serious here.

some turn based rpg have anti-grind system.

take 'aselia thee eternal' for eample. the numbers of enemies is finite, no random battles, units that die remain dead, leveling up require money which is also limited.

take chrono cross. you have a level cap that increase after each boss fight. simple yet effective method. well, at least random battles are infinte but there is a limit on healing item usage in battle.
