HMs exist to have the player use their Pokemon to traverse the environment in special ways. Poke Ride misses this point entirely, and also makes little logical sense. You can page a Stoutland to ride on while deep in ultra space in another dimension?
LGPE was actually the closest they've gotten to actually getting HMs right, but their execution was lacking as well. It should just be:
