He's the canon MC and as a result is the character people put with the girls. If they just made every character have sex with noface-kun there'd be less reason to apply their personality traits, which is mostly interpreted as crushing on ash.
He's not as much of a blank slate as other MCs but he's enough of one to basically make him projectable for a viewer.
Also, most times people actually add a noface-kun its also an ugly bastard so that's normally a turn off.

Well, wether we like it or not Ash is probably in the top five of the most iconic humans characters in Pokémon so...

Despite how obnoxious and annoying Ash is, I always wished he became a competitive trainer in the first season and game-protagonist tier. Now, whether or not anyone has actually been attracted to Ash, that's a new one. I have never seen anyone wishing to be banged by Ash, (which is probably for the best considering how oblivious Ash is), I have never even seen an Ash fangirl.

Oh....it seems like I was wrong. It seems like an odd choice for a husbandu (or whatever the hell they call it).
