no forced tutorials
barely any forced cutscenes, and lore is given through the player exploring the environment
least linear region in the series since you can go wherever your tools can take you
all the roadblocks are things you have to figure out how to remove yourself instead of an npc arbitrarily moving out of the way after x point
legendaries are rewards for actually exploring the game instead of boring cliche villain team shit
features the best designs in the series

This is straight up false. The game is designed with the intended badge order in mind and forces along that sequence of towns.
It just allows you to skip gyms/Rocket battles to make it seem non-linear.

The only true instant of non-linearity in the series is in Johto after you beat Morty and can choose to go either left or right.
