this shit broke my heart as a kid. I wanted to ride the yacht and have a side adventure on it so bad. I didn't understand if I had to beat everyone or wait a certain time or what to make it take off. Finally I walk off momentarily and the second I walk off, it takes off. Wtf, I think as a small child. Did I literally walk off just as it was about to leave? I almost wanted to start a new game just to see.

but seriously, why couldn't they just say "the boat is broken, not leaving yet" and then say it was fixed once you beat the elite 4 and take you on a tiny side adventure. Would this had been too much for the GB cartridge? At least it would have actually given you something to do with Mewtwo
