How can we be confident about the eighth generation titles if this laptop shit has constant frame drops? Especially when riding the Pokémon, it's disconcerting how much game freak is lazy

Gamefreak can't seem to ever develop games for the systems they are supposed to be on anymore. It's hilarious, but also very sad. I don't know why Nintendo hasn't stepped in yet.

I'm ready for the newer games to be rather boring when it comes to the overworld. I only ever experienced drops in Koga's gym and when I go too fast surfing. Unless they copy whatever Nintendo did with BOTW for the overworld, I don't know what'll work.

Anon, I'm not even confident in the gameplay, much less the technical performance. For all we know GameFreak might fuck everyone over and keep abilities and held items removed.

No, because they knew it wasn't worth the effort for a burner game (it's why they re-used the 3DS engine in the first place - they didn't see LGEP as worthy of building an entirely new engine for), especially a GO-clone burner.

Because the games still sell millions and the creatures they create still print billions in merchandise.
Nintendo's approach with the franchise is basically "let GF and TPC handle it, maybe pressure them since we need this fucker to be a yearly thing on our latest platform", and that latter half of the approach is probably the only reason LGPE even exists.
