Ryu from Ninja Gaiden. Given that his game is one of the last notable NES games to not have a spot in Smash I'd say his inclusion is definitely possible given that we have Mega Man, Simon, etc.

If there is going to be a DLC Pokémon character, it will be a gen 8 one. They have no reason to put in another gen 7 Pokémon well into 2019, let alone a gen 3 Pokémon.

Grovyle would be a better choice than Sceptile for MDfags
But I'm sick of muh humanoid Pokemon representing the franchise. It's so fucking boring. If I had to pick I'd say Hawlucha deserves a spot spot over Greninja/Incineroar.
And Alolan-Raichu should be the Pikaclone instead of Pichu
