There's been a lot of speculation with Pokemon popularity in latin america, so this info will probably give us a hint: A popular youtuber has made several "rap" songs about anime and videogame characters and here's the statistics for Pokémon ones: 1 - Charizard rap (nov 2016): 10,904,333 2 - Greninja rap (sept 2016): 10,199,121 3 - Mewtwo rap (aug 2016): 8,500,851 4 - Lucario rap (oct 2016): 4,131, 601 5 - Mimikyu rap (jan 2017): 3,728, 461 6 - Pikachu rap (sep 2016): 3,439, 295 7 - Mew rap (dec 2016): 2,935,247 8 - Infernape rap (mar 2017): 2,630,219 9 - Arceus rap (may 2017): 2:471,066 10 - Rayquaza rap (jun 2017): 2,153,540 Others are 11th - Sceptile, 12th Lugia, 13th Meowth, there's even more afterwards Thoughts? > Charizard is still undoubtedly the most popular starter of all time > Greninja almost hit Zard levels > Mewtwo still going strong > Lucario's fade out > Mimikyu's surprising popularity

The quality of the rap should make a big difference when the numbers are so close below Pikachu.

>>37365364 As a spic, this list is quite accurate. Top 3 are common namesakes when discussing Pokemon here. Most people are massive weebs, so they mostly recognize Pokemon from the anime instead of the games. I find lots of people that supposedly follow the franchise, but at the most they played R/B and maybe X/Y if you're lucky (I've seen very few people with 3DS around here.) Fortunately Nintendo seems to have made a resurgence here in Mexico with the Switch, so hopefully the actual gen VIII games will draw some people back into the actual games.

>>37367264 Yeah. They really love power-level shonenshit down here and the X/Y and XYZ series were the closest the pokemon anime will get to that. Most people i know dropped the anime after the league, though. I guess for a moment they thought Status Quo was gone, and then it bit them in the ass. I actually found the whole season a bit lame besides the cool battles, but i don't mind. The anime has always been garbage either way.

And Pokémon is still big over there, not just GO.

>>37365364 Latino always had shit tastes in everything.
Besides, taking video views as measure for anything is retarded because Charizardfags might just be replaying the song over and over and have nothing else to do.
